I've finished writing the next two parts of Sow but I'm seriously considering not posting anything until it's done. I would then post it all at once. I'm thinking about only posting finished things from now on.

Anyone who's read any of my fic has probably realized that I'm terrible at following my own writing schedule.

I have realized that this is exacerbated by working on multiple fics at the same time. It breaks flow and then I don't want to go back to writing because I can't get back into the right frame of mind. So I'm going to try writing one fic at a time until it's done. This has the added benefit of giving me a higher chance of actually finishing stuff.

That said, this year I will try (TRY!!!) to finish Sow, Good Hyundeul, Potentia and Push. Those are my priority. Then I'll figure out if I still think Lotus Roots is worth saving.

Also as far as planning goes, Pacemaker has saved my life. They had me at graphs.

All the writing goals I had at the beginning of the year were thrown in to total tailspin by what I'm choosing to refer to as my quarter life crisis.

I have in the past several months suffered from anxiety and depression (in retrospect I was probably depressed for at least two years before this) and quit the job that was the source of my lack of mental health when I started having panic attacks then I packed up all my shit and moved back home.

Basically, my life has been chaos and ups and downs for a few months. Needless to say I've not been very productive except for taking the time off to relax and reach a better state of mind. So that's why I've been totally MIA.

I'm trying to get back on track now. So back to new writing goals and finding a new job. Hopefully I'll have job success by spring.

My word count goal for January was 10,000 words and I've met the goal.

Yay! Go me!

Although, I did fail at the whole writing every day thing. I need to get better about that if I want to meet the long term goals. It's easy to make up word count when the daily goal is low.

February word count goal: 13,000 words

In other news, I'm currently working on Sow (the 'For rent to own' one-shot) and at 3,600 words and counting it will probably be much longer than I guesstimated (estimate: 5,000 words). The new guesstimate is 10,000 words. Hopefully, this year I will also develop a sense of how long my stuff will be when I'm plotting stuff out.

I am sure that every intrepid writer has at some point or another thought about the NaNoWriMo challenge. Many have attempted but few succeed this perilous road to completing 50,000 words in a month. I myself have tried and failed four times.

However, my failures have given me helpful experience. The most important thing being that I cannot spend December-October writing less than 10,000 words a month and then suddenly expect that I can write 50,000 in november. I burn myself out in under 10 days.

Thus! I have given myself monthly word goals for 2015 to gradually build myself up to 50,000 words. I'm calling it. The Road to 50,000, a Perilous Journey Fraught With Danger (procrastination):

  • January - 10,000 words - 323w/day

  • February - 13,000 words - 464 w/day

  • March - 16,000 words - 516 w/day

  • April - 20,000 words - 667 w/day

  • May - 25,000 words - 806 w/day

  • June - 30,000 words - 1,000 w/day

  • July - 35,000 words - 1,129 w/day

  • August - 40,000 words - 1,290 w/day

  • September - 45,000 words - 1,500 w/day

  • October - 50,000 words - 1,613 w/day

  • November - 50,000 words - 1,667 w/day

  • December - 50,000 words - 1,613 w/day

That's a total wordcount goal of about 384,000 for 2015, enough to fit in all my 2015 Projects. I should hit 50,000 words a month in October, this will be my practice month. I'm hoping that if I build myself up to this pace I'll be able to sustain it (or something very close) into the future. 50,000 words a month for 12 months is 600,000 words a year. With that much output I should be able to focus on my original novels AND the fanfiction that is usually distracting me from writing them.

Wish me luck!

The list of fics I absolutely would like to finish in 2015.

1. Lotus Roots: Yes, I want to finish it next year. It haunts me like the ghosts of christmas past, present, and future.

2. Potentia: Because the Dragon Fire universe is like my magnum opus and there are two more parts after Potentia. I should at least finish one part of it a year.

3. Concubine!verse 3 and 4: I should not be the only person subjected to the craziness that is happening in Junsu's and Jaejoong's heads.

4. Not-So-Baby Slytherin: Everyone needs fluff in their life. Also it is basically a bunch of short drabbles and I will be ashamed of myself if its not done.

5. Good Hyungdeul: I have outlined all five parts of this fic which means there is no reason not to finish it.

6. Good Luck Charm universe fics: FOR ALL THE LITTLE DEVILS SITTING ON MY SHOULDER ASKING FOR MORE!! I will give you every single one of the threesomes and the billion YJM shots if it kills me!

Then there are the one shots... I have come to realize that I may not be capable of writing a one-shot that doesn't imply massive background story/world building thus prompting me to want to just make them open ended series. Well, whatever. I want to at least give you 'Perfect Spouses', 'For rent to own', and 'Space Station'. There are like a million universes in my head begging for attention.

The real question: Is this doable? Well, I do have word count estimates for this stuff and it adds up to like 300,000 words. JFC!! Okay, that's a rate of approx 820 words a day. My goal is 1000 words per day which for my is about 1 to 1.5 hours of writing time a day.

It is a worthy goal!!!

Oh Yoosu

I just spent the last three days writing over 5,000 words of Yoosu in what I've taken to calling Concubine!verse. It was supposed to be a really short kinky one shot but it turned into this monster of a thing where they didn't even have sex until over 4,000 words into it. It is definitely not kinky and the damn thing is not even done.

The kicker is that they are both doing exactly what I want them to. It is just taking more words than I thought it would.

On an interesting note though I'm finding it much easier to write Yoosu than Yunjae. Probably because I am just not as emotionally invested in Yoosu and so I just make them do what I want them to. My abundance of fangirl delusion when it comes to Yunjae makes that a little more difficult.
