I have been without a laptop over the weekend and posting from a phone is a pain. Post dump back to back for the last three days.
Title: Small Things 4
Rating: G
Pairing: YunJae
Length: Drabble
Summary: “It’s not a girl’s room.”
-
Jaejoong leaned over the crib and tickled Seungjoon’s stomach. The baby kicked his feet and giggled, bringing a large smile to his father’s face. Joonie was a happy baby. They thought he would cry more once they’d brought him home but mostly he just smiled and giggled and chewed on his fingers. Jaejoong’s happy, perfect baby.
“Oppa, this looks like a girl’s room.”
The smile disappeared as Jaejoong scrunched up his face, drawing more giggles from the squirming baby. “Joon-ah, you’re Auntie Jihye doesn’t want to hold you anymore.”
“Oppa!”
Jaejoong straightens to look at the girl standing in the nursery with a pout on her face. “It’s not a girl’s room.”
“I can’t believe Yunho oppa let you put all this stuff in here.”
She’s talking about the Hello Kitty video displays lining the walls of the nursery and the collection of cute elephant plushies piled on a rocking chair in the corner of the room. “I like them,” Jaejoong muttered. And it hadn’t been a matter of Yunho letting him put them in, more that Jaejoong had decided how he wanted to decorate the nursery and Yunho had accepted it.
Besides, for every red or pink bowed plushie in the room there was a small whizzing model Lamborghini hover car. Jaejoong sniffed. The room wasn’t girly. It was balanced with all the things Jaejoong liked and Joonie liked them too.
Jaejoong picked his baby up out of the crib. “Come on Joonie. Let’s go for a walk,” he said, ignoring Jihye.
“Oppa!” she protested. “You promised I could hold him.”
He’d let her hold him. Eventually.
